Hello everyone!
Today I would like to talk to you about the ArchePass. As some of you already know the new version of the ArchePass was made available in PTS for testing last week. Yesterday they tried to implement it in Archeage Unchained but after several issues they decided to deactivate it again. Now it is expected to be implemented on next patch (Thursday 12th December). So we have gone to PTS to create some characters and test this new ArchePass before it is released.
But for the ones that still never heard of ArchePass let me try to explain what it is.
The ArchePass is nothing more than a system that rewards you when you complete a series of Quests. These rewards may vary according to the ArchePass bought, but the most important reward in my opinion are the Diligence Coins. The ArchePass is the only way to get these coins and if you check the MarketPlace there are a lot of important items that can only be bought with them.
In October we had a first version of the ArchePass that was later removed because of some exploits. Three weeks ago Gamigo finally started delivering some compensations for not having the ArchePass active, in total we received 180 Diligence Coins and 28 Labor Rechargers. Now a new version of the ArchePass will be installed. I have never saw or played the ArchePass so this is an overview of how this new version works and not a comparison with the previous version.
How can I get the ArchePass?
If you go to the bottom right icons, next to your MarketPlace you can find the Daily Schedule. Here a new tab will appear called ArchePass.
At the beginning you will have all gray and a message saying there is no ArchePass active. You go to Register/Change and a list of the available Passes appear.

You find the Basic Pass that is available all year and for the 4th quarter of 2019 the Vocation Pass, the Equipment Pass and the Combat Pass.
Which Pass should I choose?
Well it really depends on what you want to win, what is your interest, how much gold you have and how much you are willing to invest.
Basic Pass
Cost: 1 Copper
Tiers: 98
Rewards by Tier

The Rewards you receive when you are in a certain Tier of the Pass. Like all Passes it has the Basic Rewards and the Premium Rewards. When you register it you get only the Basic Rewards. If you want to have also the Premium Rewards you have to upgrade the Pass.
With the Premium version of this Pass you can gain up to 249 Gildas.
How to upgrade this Pass:
Go to the Marketplace and in the Credits – Consumables you can find Premium Upgrade Ticket that costs 10 Gold.

You purchase this ticket and after registering and activating your Pass you press the Premium button below and confirm the upgrade to Premium.

This means that you can reclaim not only the Basic Rewards but also the Premium ones.
Summarizing this Pass is very general and gives you a little of everything you need.
4th Quarter Pass
Cost: 5 Gold
Tiers: 44
Rewards by Tier
Vocation Pass
If your gameplay is based on Vocation, for example you need it to buy those Baobab saplings that give you a lot of gold when selling its fruit or you sell your vocation for gold or simply you are in a needing Vocation phase, then check the Vocation Pass rewards.

Equipment Pass
If you are in need of some help gearing up or you just can't get enough when it comes to upgrading your equipment, then check the Equipment Pass rewards.

Combat Pass
If you just can't do without PVP and Arenas or you dream to be an acclaimed hero, then check the Combat Pass rewards.

How to upgrade this Pass:
If you have already registered and activated your 4th Quarter 2019 Pass, just click the Premium Button and it will take you directly to the Marketplace. In the Credits – Consumables you can find Premium ArchePass that costs 1500 Credit.

Buy it and the rest of the process is the same as for the Basic Pass.
How does the ArchePass work?

Be attention that the ArchePass has a minimum requirement of lvl.30 to be able to execute the quests/missions.
You have 3 types of quests:
. Faction ArcheMaster - Can contain missions to kill hostile players or ancestral monsters
. Vocational Master - Like the name indicates contains quests related to labor and Blue Salt Bonds
. Battle God - Can contain missions like gaining XP
The quests/missions appear locked and you need to pay to unlock them. In our case the payment was Gildas or Blue Salt Hammer.

When you unblock the type of quest/mission the mission topic appears. You click once again and the mission appears.
If you do not like the mission received you have 6 attempts per day to change it.

You just need to click the button change and a screen appears asking which quest/mission you want to change.

Select and confirm and a new quest/mission will be given.

It can happen that the same mission is given, if so just roll it again.
In the mission details you can see what is your mission in detail and which rewards you will receive when completing it.
In this case by completing the mission we will get 2000 XP, 1500 ArchePass Points and 2 Diligence Coins.
The ArchePass Points are what makes you progress inside the tier.
The bar with the number above indicates the tier you are in and your progress. In this case we are in tier one with no progress yet.

In our other character we have finished the only mission that we were able to unlock that was from Vocation Master. Here you can see we have progressed half way throughout tier 1 and the new mission has already appeared.

Above you see that we have a counter with attempts. This counter shows you how many missions you already completed during the week. There is a limit of 12 missions per week and the reset happens every Monday at midnight UTC. So we have already finished 1 mission from the possible 12.

You can collect the Rewards from the Tier you are in whenever you want, you do not have to complete the Tier. Attention: It is not automatic, you need to click the Reward to collect it.

in our case we have the Basic Pass with the Premium and we have reached Tier 2 so we collect the Rewards for Basic and Premium, tier 2.

After collecting them they turn gray.
Now it is important to mention that the ArchePass is by character. If you want to have one in each character you own, you will have to buy one for each one of them, even if they are in the same account. Check out our video in YouTube to see the tests we have made. Take this into consideration when choosing the Pass because if you have 2 characters and you want a Premium 4th Quarter Pass for both you will have to buy 2 upgrade tickets with Credits.
What happens to my progress when I change to another Pass?
When you buy another Pass and activate it, the current Pass will be paused. In this case after buying the Pass make sure to register it again so that it becomes active. What happens is that in your Pass Detail we go to Tier 1 of the new Pass and all missions are locked. The new Pass comes with the basic and you have to buy the Premium if you want to have it.

If you go again to the previous Pass (in our case the Basic Pass) you see that we are back in Tier 2 and we still have the Premium version. No gold was spent, but the missions are all locked. So to continue our progress we will have to pay again to unlock them.

Summarizing you only have to buy the Pass one time and then you can jump between Passes, but every time you do so you will have to pay to unlock the missions again.
You can check the Passes you bought and which ones are active also in the Register/Change window.

The active Pass has a play image while the Passes that were bought and are in pause contain a star image.
Below you can find the YouTube link for our "ArchePass in PTS" video.
So I hope this post was helpful for you guys and let's see next week if finally we will have the ArchePass active. Until next post.
xoxo
