Red Dead Online

One week before our hanging, after 6 months of being arrested in Sisika Penitentiary, we are selected by Officer Jenkins with a group of other prisoners to make a work detail in Valentine. On the way the wagon is stopped by 3 men with guns leaded by Mr. Horley. They free the women, tell the officers to flee, Mr. Horley pays the other 2 men for the help and tells us to follow him because his mistress awaits us. We pick up a gun from the ground and follow him to the horses. It seems that we were not the only ones to be arrested based on a fake trial. Others have fallen into the same circumstances and Mr. Horley’s mistress seems to have been trying to set the things straight by saving all these innocents. We follow Mr. Horley in silence while he does all the talking!

 

We arrive to the camp and are greeted by the Mr. Horley’s mistress, Jessica LeClerk. It seems that Mrs. LeClerk knows or has an idea of the people that plotted against us (one of 3 men or a woman or all together). They are also responsible for Mrs. LeClerk husband’s death. She seeks revenge for her husband’s death. Horley shows us our tent where we are able to find clean clothes, a lasso, a knife and a latern. We get cleaned and change our clothes.

 

Mrs LeClerk invites us for some drinks while explaining her situation. Her husband was murdered by his partners and she wants us to discover which ones and kill them. The murder happened at the same time that we arrived into town so they blamed us for it, but Mrs. LeClerk knows better because she has the bullet cases that do not match our weapons.

She presents us the people who run Blackwater:

                Mr. Jeremiah Shaw – Banker, Real estate speculator and crook

                Mr. Amos Lancing – Ranch owner, speculator and crook

                Mrs. Grace Lancing – Society patroness, lover of the arts and crook

                Teddy Brown – Grace’s brother – Outlaw, wanted man and still in contact with them

She is really interested in a revenge and willing to help us with whatever we need if we give this back to her.

After agreeing with the terms Mr. Horley takes us to JB Cripps that will help us getting back on our feet. He will get our small camp established in the Heartlands. Horley suggests that in the meantime we head to the station and see the clerk, after we should talk to the horse thief Clay Davies.

We head then to Valentine’s Post Office to talk to the clerk – Alden. He tells us about some robberies that have been in their stages and that the crew is not part of the club. There will be probably a reward if we make them go away. They are at Cumberland Forest. Before we leave, Alden gives us a catalogue and assures that all his colleagues will always help us with pertinent information even though we are a woman.

So we head up to Cumberland Forest where we get a little bit lost. After searching for a long time we finally find the gang that is robbing the stages. We almost get killed but we are able to take them all down before. One of the bandits gives us a map with a treasure and by mistake we kill him – we are very clumsy. We loot the camp and we head for the mark on the map. We find the treasure chest and take what is inside. The treasure consists on an ability card voucher, a gold wedding ring, a Platinum Earring and a necklace. We are promoted to Rank 2. When leaving the scene we are attacked by a goat that almost kills us. One must be careful with these goats from hell in this treacherous land. In the meantime we increase our Eagle Eye skill with Paint it Black which means that now when using this skill we can paint targets onto our enemies. Then we only need to shoot the marked targets knowing that each shot drains the Dead Eye.

We went then to meet Clay Davies the horse thieve. He tells us that there is a new gang of horse thieves that in in the Cumberland Falls with some horses they stole from him or from the fellow he was going to steel them from. It seems that criminals here like hiding in Cumberland! Clay asks us to get the horses back and take them to him at Valentine. We set up to the ranch where we find the gang that Davies mentioned and we steel back the horses. After failing one time we are finally able to take one of the horses back to Davies at Valentine and gaining our promotion to Rank 3. Davies is very happy and delivers us the message from Horley to meet Cripps up at my new camp. He also tells us that he will buy any good horse that we can get. In a sign of good faith and possible future businesses Davies gives us the horse that we brought back. It is a fine Tennessee Walker that we name Cabritinha.  We get a horse insurance voucher that we use to get the horse insurance. We select a Lumley Ranch Cutter Saddle with Weathered Hickory & Natural colour.

We head back to our camp to meet Cripps. Cripps set out our camp very nicely. He tells us that Horley wants to meet us down at Blackwater with some work for us. We are promoted to Rank 4. Zio-80 comes to meet us at our camp and we join his posse to get some money. We go together to Tom Davies the Marshal. Tom explains to us that he cannot act outside the city limits and although he knows that Alfredo Montez is in Josie Dawson’s saloon in Van Horn he cannot do a thing about it. So he wants us to take care of the situation. Also he gives us a message from Horley. We must meet him south of Armadillo.

We head up to Van Horn. We start by the saloon. After some shootings we go ahead to the camp to take out the others. Another shooting almost kills Zio-80. Montez is not there! We loot the camp and we head back to the Marshal to follow him to Montez’s convoy. After a minor incident heating a tree we are able to capture Montez, well… our posse mate Mazzeldob does it. We go together to deliver Montez to the Marshal. The Marshal thanks us and pays us for the successful mission. We get 0,04 gold, $9,64 and 301 experience. We head back to the camp!
